Pool is Intex Metal Frame 24' X 48".
Last year we finally got the Intex Sand Filter to replace the Crud that comes with it.
The vac is the one that has the little mesh bag inside the cup that you have to place inside the skimmer housing on the inside of the pool.
Question:
Is it safe to hook up the vac to the intake inside the pool (the suction holds it on) and allow the vac to suck the debris straight into the little pre-filter/leaf basket that is attached to the pump?
We tried this for a few minutes and it seems to work well, but the concern is about smaller debris being sucked off the bottom getting through the holes in this basket and damaging the pump.
Would vacuuming in this way be advised or not advised? (Needing to empty that little mesh bag every few minutes is a pain!)
