Poolcalc vs. CYA/Chlorine Chart for Shock Value...

A bit confused here. For CYA of 70 on SWG, one says shock level is 20, the other says 28. Which one??

The chart is more conservative with the higher shock level than the calculator. Both will work, although the higher level might be a bit faster.

They both work. The higher level works more quickly. We recommend the higher levels because they are more trouble free.

I know it seems like a lot of work to get enough FC in there, but once you get there it is easier to maintain then you'd think. So the difference of 20 vs 28 is only in the upfront work.
