Ants around the pool!

Our concrete was poured last week, and now I cannot go out to the pool without seeing hundreds of ants right on the deck (and coping). we still have dirt around the deck, as I am hoping to finish up landscaping in a few weeks, so I know that is not helping matters. However, has anyone went through this, and have you found any methods to keep them off the deck area?

I get ants everywhere anytime I disturb their usual haunts; watering, weedwhacking, anything.

Ortho Terra baits work pretty good. It takes a couple days for them to find it and empty one, but they haul the stuff back to their nests and it pretty much kills them off for a couple months.

I second the Ortho Terra bait. But you can't use it around pets.
