We have just begun the bidding process and have 4 in the works. It has been suggested twice that we consider the chemical injection of the soil to stabilize the soil. It sounds like a large additional expense 3K or so. Is this overkill?

If you live right on the lake it might be needed but if you don't I can't see why they recommended it. You should be able to get a soil survey from the county.
