Return jet pressure

Hello,
I just recently changed the sand in my filter after 5 years using the same sand(New pool) because I was having problems clearing up the green water upon opening.
So..... I have noticed a trikle of water on occasion coming from the top of the filter....beneath the band clamp.
The reason I am writing.....since changing the sand I have noticed a drop in the flow coming into the pool via the jets,should I be concerned ??
My new pressure gauge runs between 8-12 :?

Did you lube the gasket good when putting the filter back together? If not you probably should take it back apart and clean and lube it well prior to reassembling it.

What did the gauge read before?

No I did not,What kind of lube should I use?
My pressure was usually 12-16 before

Have you changed anything else except the sand?
Do you see bubbles in the pump basket?
With a lower pressure you're either moving more water or your pump is not pumping as much as before.

No other changes
new pump last year
No bubbles in the pump basket
Could a poor seal at the gasket
cause lower pressure?

It certainly could but you'd probably see bubbles.
