Mountain Top/ Mosaic pattern question

We are putting in a new liner and we are trying to decide between Mountain Top/ Mosaic or Stratford/Prism pattern. We have an IG vinyl over step liner and I am concerned with how the mosaic pattern will look on the wedding cake steps since it is a linear pattern. If anyone has seen this pattern in a pool and could advise me, I would certainly appreciate it.

I haven't seen it in a pool, but I think you're right about a linear pattern on a curved surface looking funny.
