Nice little Sunday project

The curve cut was the easiest part of the whole project. When building I left the pickets high at the tops. When finished I used a piece of neoprene or surgical tubing that I happen to have in my shop. I tacked the tubing to each post in a section and let the tubing hang down till the middle of the curve was exactly two inches over the top rail. The tubing lays in a perfect fair curve every time. I traced the curve onto the pickets with a pencil and then removed the tubing and cut the marked curve with a jigsaw. I suppose you could use string, but the tubing is heavy and lays down a nice smooth arc.
Hope this explanation helps!
