Performed testing on my water last night with both the ColorQ and TF-100 kit.

Test - ColorQ - TF-100
fCL - 3.78 - 3.75
CC - 0 - 0.5
pH - 7.7 - in range
ALY - 68 - 70
CH - 173 - ???
CYA - 44 - 55
SALT - - 3000

Interestingly, I did the CH test twice with the TF-100 test kit and the water never changed color, so that would mean I have no CH in my pool??? Must be the reagants. Most of the other tests came out pretty close. Need to get salt up slightly. My fCL is normally near 8, so the low salt must be affecting that.

Any harm in having low CH? I am working on getting CYA up further.

With a plaster pool you want CH between 250 and 350. This is important, especially that it not be below 250, while being a little high is usually alright.

What color was the CH sample water after you added the indicator dye? If it turned blue right off then your CH is zero. But if it turned red/pink your CH is fairly high. There is more information on how to do the CH test here.
