Rust off Pool LIner

When we were installing our new vinly liner, my husband was putting in the light and one of the screws was stripped out so he replaced with a new screw. Unfortunately, now the screw has rusted and there is a stain on the liner. Does anyone have any ideas how to get the rust stain off the liner.
Appreciate any advice.

Rub Vitamin C tablet on it.

And use a good stainless steel screw.

there is a cleaner I got from the pool place that took off rust stain that I had from filling my pool with well water and the side where the wind was blowing to had rust stain for about 15 feet. It came right off. I will look at the name when I go out there later. I think it was a citrus base cleaner. It worked great on liner but it discolored my metal rail on top where I spilled it and didn't rinse it off right away.

The vitamin C tablet worked wonders on the stain. My husband was amazed how great it looks now. And he went out and got a stainless steel screw. Thanks so much for the tip.
