Almost ready for Borates!

Been working on bringing my TA down for a while. Test as of this morning:
FC: 7.5
PH: 7.4
TA: 70 (down form 240)
CH: 825
CYA: 65
Really looking forward to this process and the benefits I've read come with it. Thank You TFP!

Hey, I'm workin on mine too. TA is about 260...but I don't have much water so it wont take much acid. Getting the pH back up will be the trick.

It's definately taken some time but will hopefully be well worth it. Can't wait to get it done. Then just have to get the cover back on so it'll be warm enough to swim in!

14 boxes of 20 mule team borax and 4 gallons of MA went in yesterday! Already looks nicer. Is it ok to put the solar cover back on?

Ok 3 days after here are the numbers:

FC: 5
PH: 7.4
TA: 80
Borates: 65? not sure if I'm reading the sticks right. I bought the Lamotte test strips as suggested. It's definately darker in colr then the 50 mark but not as dark as the 80. Is this bad if they are higher? Not sure how I ended up over unless there were already Borates in the water. Didn't get my strips until after so I didn't check before hand.

None of the borate tests are especially precise. As long as your borate level is below 80 you are fine.
