Where do you dump the chemical mix after testing?

    Another "newbie" question -

What do you do with the mixed chems after testing levels?
Do you dump the liquid into the pool? Throw it down the sewer drain?
    Mix yourself a cocktail (no!)

    Thanks,
    David

Drain. Do not put it back in the pool.

Re: Where do you dump the chemical mix after testing?

This was asked in a different subforum last week....

    throwing-k-2006-test-water-back-into-the-pool-t45068.html

I also asked there what about dumping down into a septic system when you don't have municipal sewage. Threads get lost down through the list though as this looks to be a very active (and informative) forum. Thus, I didn't get an answer to that particular question.

I toss mine in the grass and rinse the vial. Haven't killed any grass yet and it's been pretty much the same spot for a few years.

I have a small patch of gravel where the sprinkler controls come out of the ground. I dump it there, hoping the stuff is toxic to weeds.

Troublefree does not mean Maintenancefree. It's like brushing your teeth: You can spend a couple minutes a day and pennies a week or go to the dentist once a year and spend several thousand dollars.
A pool is like a pet - you have to feed it every day, even the days you don't want to play with it!
