Will Muriatic Acid harm solar cover

Hi all,

We keep a solar cover on our pool (just got a new one!) and I normally add muriatic acid in front of a return. Can I just pull back the cover a bit and add the acid? Or will it harm the cover?

I've tried searching but did not find anything, so sorry if this is covered elsewhere.

If it's one of the bubble wrap kinds, the answer is no. They're made out of polyethylene, same stuff the disposable acid jugs are made out out of.
