Pump level?

We are planning to move our pump as it currently sets under a deck and is hard to reach. The new location would raise the pump/filter slightly higher than the pool return/skimmer. Will that cause any issues? I think the top of the sand filter would be about level with the top of the pool. It's a 15x30 above ground 4' deep.

It should be fine as long as it's not too far above the waterline.

Question - is this an above ground pool with an above ground pump ? The difference is that the inground pumps won't have any issues with this, but some above ground pumps REQUIRE the pump to be below the water level. What model of pump are you using ?
