Shock or balance? Pics and measurments included.

Need to know if I should shock or just balance.

Details:

14600 gallon above ground pool.

Had algae but not now.
Water is now clear.

Measurements:
0.5 FC
0.5 CC
7.0 PH
100 alk
240 calc
0 CYA

I just started the BBB pool care system about a week ago.
So should i shock it or just balance it up to the recommended levels?

You definately need some Chlorine and CYA ASAP! What are you using to test the water? It does look a little cloudy so you should bring up that FC soon. Use the pool calculator to determine how much CYA you need to reach 30 ppm, and use that to determine how much chlorine to add.

I am using my Taylor FAS-DPD Tesr i just got yesterday. I will do the cya and fc now.

Get the FC up to about 4, then run the overnight chlorine loss test. If you pass, great. If you don't, load up on bleach and start the shock process.

I have 23 bottles of 6% bleach, should be good. I will test everything again tomorrow and then do the overnight test. Thanks for the info.
