    Brand new pool and first test with Taylor K-2006

    We just finished filling our 24 foot round AGP holding 15,600 gallons I'll get my signature going soon. Using a sand filter and it has been running less than 12 hours. I've been reading here since we decided to get a pool and many thanks for all the great info.

    I tested just a little while ago, and

    FC = 2
    Ph = 6.8
    CC = 0
    TA = I confess I actually stopped at 20 was pink but not what I'd call red.

    I also have a sock going with CYA as we speak.

    I understand that I need to get my FC up, but I'm a little unsure about PH...I know it is low, but the TA is out of this world (right) and I think I understand that aeration is a good way to increase PH without increasing TA, but that's slow...should I just move on with borax and worry about the TA later?

    24foot AGP
    13, 500 gallons
    Hayward sand filter/2 speed with timer
    and yes I'm testing with a Taylor!

    You probably want to go ahead and boost the pH a little, you can use washing soda for this.
    Indoor 20x40 35,000 gallon vinyl pool with 1.5 HP 2 speed Jandy FloPro pump, Hayward EC75 Perflex DE filter, 11 4x12 Techno-Solis solar panels w/ Aquasolar controller, Aquabot Turbo T Robot Cleaner. Also LMI metering chlorine dispenser pump and HotSpring Jetsetter
    I use and endorse TFtestKits TF-100 from
