algae gone pH and TA way weird

I didn't see his topic. Sorry if it's a repeat.
50,000 gallons...saltwater.

I finally got rid of the algae with bleach and shock on the second try.

Now the pH is 8.2 and the T/A is 170. FC-18, TC-17, CH-240, CYA-80

The last time when the algae was attacked I ended up close to these numbers. I added Muratic acid and the pH dropped 0.2. I added a gallon and a half. Surely that was enough? The TA didn't budge.
What's next?

Welcome to TFP!

You should check the PH again the next time the FC level is 10 or lower and lower PH to 7.2. The PH reading might be wrong because of the high FC level, but chances are your PH is way too high. Lowering TA will help keep PH from going up as quickly.

Lowering TA is a process with several steps that takes time. You can read about the complete procedure in the Lowering TA article in Pool School.
