12' Hose's from filter to pool

Hi... Today I had a 21' (54" walls)round AGP installed. The filter/pump is a Pentair Dynamo 1HP pump and a ST-50 DE filter. It came with 12' hoses which I thought were pretty long. Will I be OK with them or should I trade them in for 6'? The 12' allow me to place the system in a location where I can mount the electric to my deck and avoid trenching and digging in a 4x4 to mount it on. TIA!

The longer hoses will only make a very minor difference. The longer ones should be fine.

My wife now wants the pump/filter in a different location about 15' from the pool. Can I do that or am I pushing it? I can hard plumb it with PVC if that makes a difference.
