    first time pool owner...pump help!

So this is our first summer with our in ground pool 30,000 gal. We just replaced the pump because the old one was shot. We have a 1.5 HP pentair superflow. The pump primes but seems like its not moving enoughwater, almost like its in a soft mode. I know we have done everything correctly as far as our sand filter, releasing the pressure etc. Any ideas? I don't wanna mess his pump wasn't cheap. Not to mention this is my third issue with this pool and I can't even begin to start the shocking process, I am at my wits end and about ready to just cover it back up!

Hi, welcome to TFP! Are all the valves open? How long since the filter was backwashed? What does the pressure gauge on the filter read while the pump is running?

Can you post a pic of the equipment pad as it's set up to run?

What all equip do you have (pump, filter, heater, swcg, etc)?
