Question about Vitamin C Tablet

Quick question:

Is there a specific "type" of vitamin c tablet I should use to test stains? I haven't bought vitamin c in years so I asked my wife to pick up some today. She got some chewable ones. I wonder if they are too weak or might have other issues being chewable?

Nearly any kind will work, look for 500 mg or more (or use several together in a sock). Some of them leave a bit of residue behind, but the chlorine will break that down fairly quickly, and all of them have the desired effect.
