Interested in putting in a skimmer

Hi I am very interested in putting in a skimmer I have the Intex metal frame pool 9x12 square. Can any one tell me what I need to install the wall skimmer besides the seal that comes with the skimmer? Also what type of skimmer. Thanks Carol
