Should I lower pH?

I add MA at least twice a week because my pH keeps going up and hit 8.0 once. It is 7.8 today. TA is 110, so I don't want to give it a big hit of MA to lower pH. Two days ago I put in 32 oz MA according to the Pool Calculator. I hate it that I am lowering the pH all the time and my concern is if I let it sit at 7.8, it will sure go to 8.0 or above in a short time. Is this normal?

Water is clear and sparkly and 84 degrees.

I suggest you lower the TA using the method in Pool School. Once your TA gets around 80, aerate back up to get your pH around 7.2 - 7.4 and then see if it will be more stable.

There is a lot of wind here the last couple of weeks with frequent, high gusts that ripple the water. Is that contributing to the pH increase?
