Krystal Clear SWG - mystery part?

Hello,

I unpacked my Krystal Clear SWG today and found a part in the box. I’m not sure exactly where it goes or in what orientation (the ends aren’t identical). I don’t remember removing it at all, but any help in putting it back in would be wonderful. You can see the extra part in the bottom left part of the picture.

I'm not sure what it is for either. I don't recall something like that coming with mine. If you are using the screw on Intex hoses i know it's not needed.

Did you figure out the part? Just bought a system today and installed, no part like that in the box. But the instructions were terrible and nothing really seemed to match for us... just common sense to get it together.
