Building a canvas shade over pool -- opinions please

I have a 25' diameter pool and was wanting to add some overhead coverage for shade and privacy (our neighbors can see right into our pool from their 2nd story decks / windows).

I created a mock-up in photoshop... opinions please

Looks like a cool idea. What kind of fabric/shade material were you considering. I'm looking at having Hubby build some kind of shade structure over one of our decks.
