I am in the process of shocking and have been for past week. Cya 38, FC 19 this morn and Im trying to keep it around there per the cya/fc chart. My question is my kids are dying to swim (pool is almost clear but not quite) but I havent let them yet.. I am wondering at what level is it too high for them to swim. Is it ok for them to swim for a little while or not a good idea. I dont wanna harm them or the shocking process either. Thanks for any help

Assuming CC is .5 or less, you can clearly see kids under water and FC is at or below normal shock level for the CYA level, it's okay.
however, it is best to just keep everyone out until you are done shocking :-D

Easy button answer...they'll be fine. Maybe a quick rinse with a hose afterwards.
