would appreciate your advice - not sure about size/model.

also not sure if we should replace the pump too, or wait till it dies. The pump seems to be pumping ok, it's just very loud [can hear it from like 60 feet away] and it makes scary sounds from time to time.

the pool is 26 years old, not sure how old the equipment is

For that size pool you should be looking at something in the 300+ sqft size in a cartridge filter.

I thought the bigger, the better? like 420 or 460... or 520 sqft?

Do pool companies usually list prices including installation? or not? ...edit: or they list the price of installation? :?
like, $1,350 for Jandy CV460?
or $939.99 for HAYWARD SWIMCLEAR 425?
are they 'normal' prices?

I would assume those are equipment prices without installation unless it specifically states that installation is included.

Me again

They say Pentair SuperFlo and FloPro are "direct replacements for the Hayward Super Pump". Does it mean you don't have to redo the plumbing? or it's something else?
Is Super Pump better than SuperFlo or FloPro?

Is 1.5 HP pump the right size for our pool? or it depends on a model... or some other factors?
