Can I put my 18' Intex pool on a concrete slab?

A friend just gave me an 18' by 4' Intex pool. It's the one where you blow up the top ring. It has no support poles. It did not come with a ground cloth. I intend to put the pool on a 25' by 25' concrete pad, as it's the only level surface on my property.

Two questions:

Could the weight of the water cause my concrete to crack?

Should I buy a ground cloth, or can I just put the pool right on the concrete?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I put one of those on an asphalt driveway (pretty rough gravel mix.) The bottom of those things have Kevlar in them, I think, and are very tough. I did use the included ground cloth the first year, but not the second. I never had any problems with the bottom. The donut, on the other hand, was a constant battle to keep it airtight. Happily, I was able to trade up after two years.
