Summer Escapes 2000 GPH Replacement Pump Assembly???

Hi, I am trying to help a friend. Their pump went out and we can't find one online anywhere, every site shows sold out. Upon, reading some forums it looks like this may have been an ongoing issue for years.
The pump name is in topic line. Can anybody recommend any type of solution or some place where to find this pump? The company is not easy to get ahold of and the manufacturer only sells wholesale.

Their best option is to change it out for something else.

Thanks! I am thinking the same thing,just a different pump and probably will need just new hoses,correct?
