Calculating Pool Water Volume

When you're calculating this, is it:

A - The stated size of the pool (ie 18' X 52")
or
B - The actual water level (ie 18' X measuring tape from the bottom of the pool to the top of the water actually shows 47.5")
or
C - Use the stupid manual that came with the Intex that has a gallon ration at 90% that shows 6900 gallons

Trying to setup and use the pool calculator, and there's about 1000 ga difference between the manual and the actual size of the pool (18' X 52"). That might be a huge difference between getting it right and things going horribly wrong... ugghhh...

The Intex estimates are usually very close to reality, while their listed dimensions are often different than reality. Either go with the manual size estimate, or measure both the water depth and the actual water diameter (rather than the spec diameter) and use those.
