First tests w/ the K-2006

Been maintaining shock levels (as best as I can, waiting for more R-871 to show). Guessing tonite's SIX AND A HALF inches of rain are going to set me back a bit. Pool and patio became one, ugh.

Wow. That is like a years worth of rain here :)

It should not hurt too much. Just keep adding chlorine.

Posted with Tapatalk ... sorry if I sound short ... hate typing on phone :)

Got my R-871 refills today, seems the storm has done a number on the chemistry as expected.

FC: 10.5
CC: .5
PH: 7.0 (maybe lower)
TA: 40
CYA: 10

7000g pool.

Pool calc has me adding 53oz of baking soda to raise TA from 40 to 80, will do that which should bring the PH to a safer level.
Adding 29oz of CYA to bring it from 10 to 40
Will let this settle before adding more bleach.

Sound ok?

Keep the FC up above shock level at all times ... remember that your shock level will go up as you add CYA.

The TA is not too important at this point, so I would just leave what you added and focus on the FC.
