    primming trouble - pic included

Installed new pump this morning and can't seem to get the bubbles out. Here's a pic. Any suggestions would be great!

That means you are getting air in the suction side plumbing somewhere. The most common causes are the water level being too low in the skimmer allowing a vortex to form and air to be drawn in, or the pump strainer basket lid not sealing correctly. The air leak could also be in a plumbing connection or one of the hoses.

Jason +1 I would only add another place (but not so common is the pump basket drain plug(s) ) It is almost NEVER the underground pipes.

It's not the best idea but fix it pretty soon....your pump and filter are not very effective with all that air being sucked in.

Can't add much except you can run water over the fittings while the pump is running to see if the bubbles go away.

Thanks for everyone's support on my question! I figured it all out thanks to the posts. Seems there was a tiny air link in the tubing close to the pump. Used this opportunity to go ahead and add a check valve.

    Thanks again for all advice!!!
