Pump dead... poor in some chlorine anyway?

My pump is dead right now and my new motor will not arrive till Tuesday which means that is the earliest I will be able to have the filtration system up and running. The pool is now green... with tadpoles...and turning greener every day. Is it a waste of money to poor some chlorine in? Would it help or should I just not bother. I just hate that its getting worse every day!!! I know I can clear it quickly with my DE filter but looking at it I also know I am looking at about 15 gallons of pool grade chlorine at least... and thats expensive. stupid motor!!!

I would just wait till I got the motor installed. Especially on a 36k gal pool. It'd be hard to manually stir that much water and bleach.
