    Taylor K-2006

Reading about the best test kits to buy and see its the Taylor K-2006.

I found the following on Amazon and wanted to make sure this is the kit I need. It seems to be much cheaper than other sites which are around $80 bucks.

    Thank you!

That's the right kit, but Tftestkits has it for ~$47.00.

    Re: Taylor K-2006

It does not test for salt.
Also, don't rule out the TF-100 just yet. The TF kit has different quantities of reagents, focusing specifically on having more of what you need as a BBB'er, so you may find it to be a better value.

    Re: Taylor K-2006

So are you saying i should get the TF-100 instead of the K-2006?
    Thank you!

    Re: Taylor K-2006

I can't actually make that decision for you, but the TF-100 was put together from Taylor tests specifically to address the needs of the TFP forum members. I'd venture to say that most of us have one. I certainly bought one, and have never looked back.

    Re: Taylor K-2006

You can do more tests with the TF-100 before you run out of reagents. You'd be supporting this site as well.

    Re: Taylor K-2006

Once upon a time, Lifetime TFP supporters got a $10 discount on TF-100 orders. I never heard anything about that offer expiring...

    Re: Taylor K-2006

Look on the home page, there might be one or two of us online!

Borates are something a few people add to the water supposedly to make it feel better. If you didn't purposefully add them and are not planning on adding them, you don't need to test for them.

If you find that your pH is constantly going high, borates can help stabilize the pH. Here is the link to the Pool School article: http://www.troublefreepool.com/so-yo...how-t4921.html
