    Variable speed pump question!

    I am still doing research before taking bids on pool. My question is will a variable speed pump running at let's say 30 gallons a minute move enough water for the skimmer to work properly?
    18'x36' inground vinyl liner.Pentair Sand Filter SD-60, Pentair EastTouch IC40 Salt Gen.
    Pentair Legend Cleaner. Pentair SuperFlo 1 hp pump. Color LED pool light.

    It depends on the skimmer. That said, most skimmers are just fine with 30 GPM.

    Which pump are you looking at?
