As the title suggests, I am looking for opinions on what is the best practice (Longest life of cleaner)concerning robotic pool cleaners.
1) Leave them in the water all the time and only remove them to clean the filter, or
2) Take them out of the water most all the time, and only put them in the pool only when you intend to run them.

Take them out and only put them in when you need them. It will shorten the life of the robot.....plus I believe it voids the warranty if my memory serves me correctly.

I know that it is really bad for a pump seal to be dry, so I wondered if letting the robot stay dry most of the time would be worst then it staying wet.

Any real life stories...
