height of SWG ?

Hi - new to pool ownership and would like to install an SWG this summer to eliminate the need for toting a ton of bleach to/fro the pool. I currently have an inline chlorinator which I don't use, since those darn tabs are so evil.

Anyway, I'd like to replace the chlorinator with an SWG, probably the Compupool cpsc36. In installing it, does the SWG need to be physically higher than the top of the filter? It looks like that's the general consensus, but I don't see it documented in any installation instructions.

I have a hayward de (fiberclear) 4800 filter, which is about 42" tall, which means my pipes from the SWG would go from the ground up to about 4 feet. Is that advisable, or can/should it be lower?

TIA - Brian
