    What happens if your TA is too high?

    What happens if your TA is too high? Forgive me if I missed this in pool school, I have been looking there.

    Yakima, WA (the Palm Springs of Washington!)
    IG kidney 14k gal, 33 x 18
    vinyl liner
    200 lb Sand filter
    3/4 HP pump
    First time pool owner

    The biggest affect is it will pull the pH up, thus requiring you to have to continuously add acid to keep the pH in check.

    High TA will also increase the chances of calcium scaling.
