Getting ready to take the plunge with a new in ground pool. I could use all the advice you are all willing to give. Are steel framed liner pools as good as the plastic ones? I'm a kettle worried about the SWG with the steel.
    Thanks for all your help

Hi, welcome to TFP! The liner will prevent the saltwater from contacting the steel walls.

Be careful with SWG with steel wall pools. With our testing, we haven't had very many if any issues with them, however, most of the manufacturers of the steel wall pools void any type of warranties when a SWG is installed.

It only gives them an excuse not to honor a real warranty issue.

    Welcome to TFP.

While we haven't had a lot of reports of an swcg causing issues with a steel walled pool, resin walls would alleviate that concern all together.

Chris makes a good point about warranties. Check with who ever you look at and see if they void the warranty if you install a swcg.

Thanks. I never thought to ask about the warranty. Any concern about bringing the liner over the steps? I like the look but I am worried the dogs nails might puncture it.

Dogs and liners aren't a great match, especially on the steps.
