Brand new pool-First time startup-Shock Help needed

I am looking to shock my pool for the first time.
My tested FC level is 0.0
For a 24000 gal pool, how much liquid chlorine should I add to start?
The water looks very clear, the bottom is dirty but I will be vacuuming before I shock.

You'll need to know your CYA level first. Put that in the pool calculator, and you'll see what your shock value needs to be.

CYA level is currently 0
Calculator tells me to add10 lbs of stabilizer.

When making large adjustments to levels (for example raising CYA from 0 to 50) it is often a good idea to add about 2/3 or 3/4 of what you calculate that you need, give it time to mix in (a week for CYA), test again, and continue adjusting from there. Otherwise you risk accidentally adding too much.
