Patch kit reccomendations?

Hi there. I have a leak in my vinyl pool liner which I need to patch. I have seen several posts suggesting you use liner scraps to patch holes, but all of the patch kits that I have seen seem to have very thin pieces of vinyl for patching. I've also read a lot about the boxer 100 kits, but I've read reviews that suggest the vinyl that accompanies those patch kits are rather thin also.

The reommendation to use liner is partly because it will match the color of your liner and partly because it's thicker. I've used the patch kit vinyl and it holds up fine.
