Intelliflo VS - did I break it

Ok..I pulled a dumb move when I closed last fall. Have a one year old Intelliflo VS with an EasyTouch. Blew out the lines, plugged them, and covered pool. Ran out of time so I postponed cleaning the filter and dismantling the pump for another day. I had turned off the pump using the EasyTouch panel controls, but did not switch off the circuit breakers. (I know, I know) Next morning EasyTouch says "lets start up the pump"! But its dry! When I discovered this later that day, the Polaris pump was whinning (no kidding) but the Intelflo was off. As I read the manual, it talks about a Priming dry alarm, which I assume shuts off the pump. (I hope). So my question is ...did I break my almost new pump??

I doubt you broke it, but you probably shaved some time off its life.
