Should I chance opening...?

Would anybody here open this 15 gallon container of 12.5% sodium hypochlorite? As you can see it should look identical to the container to the left of it. This is how it was delivered.

Yikes.

So the question is ... did the container previously get deformed or is it now pressurized. Not sure I would want to find out ... can you make the delivery company come deal with it?

I can only hope it's been deformed, I plan on exchanging it when they do their next deliver I suppose.

Does liquid chlorine pressurize if shaken up? Or maybe dropped?

Would you happen to have a walk-in freezer you could put it in? You might be able to decrease pressure that way...

Looks like it sat in the sun for a long time. Heat and sunlight destroy chlorine. Prob. not 12.5% anymore.

Sure, I'd open it but I certainly wouldn't recommend anyone else do it.
