Skimmer basket access blocked by top rail

Good day all,

I must be the only one with this problem, at least I think so after doing a couple searches...

The top rails on my pool are quite wide and blocks the skimmer enough you cannot remove the basket without reaching in the pool from the outside. Not the worst problem in the world, but annoying enough for me. Is there a replacement skimmer that extends further away from the pool to avoid this problem? If so, I can't find it.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Do you have a wide mouth skimmer? They sit father back because of the rectangle to square transition piece.

No, it has a standard size skimmer.

changing it to a widemouth might solve your problem. You could also look for a throat extension for the skimmer you have.
