Well I figure I've moved to the next level and can start another post since I am an official TFP'er or I think I am LOL
So things are goin great via FC and pH levels, just adding about 90 or so oz every other day to keep FC in 5 to 9 range with last CYA reading (past Sunday) of 60 and pH has stayed at 7.5.
So tonight during regular FC and pH testing I think I had a false CC reading but just wanted to make sure my interpretation was correct. As I was adding my drops of R-0871 I got to drop 16 and I thought it was clear so I put my 5 drops of R-0003 and got a very slight hint of pink after the 5th drop so thinking I might have misread the Colorado change at 16 drops I decided to try to re-test and this time it took 17 drops and I did an extra one to be safe. Then when I added the 5 drops of R-0003 no color change at all.
So am I safe assuming I didn't add enough drops on the 1st test and was it ok adding the extra 18th drop on the re-test? I only counted 17 for my reading though.
My last question is I started noticing on the surface of the water that there seem to be flake-like materials all on the surface. It's hard to describe as I tried to catch some of it but there's really no consistency to them. The best way I can describe them are they seem like clear fish food flakes but not as thick, sorry that's the best I can think of. I tried to take a pic but being nighttime very hard to get detailed but will post....hopefully below and thanks for any help\guidance:
