Suction Side Leak Fix

Hi;

My pool has a suction side leak jsut below the skimmer, very expensive to fix. I also have a return side skimmer called pool skim that work great for leaves, etc.

My question is:

1. Is there any reason I couldn't run a pvc pipe from a couple feet down in the pool to the surface and along the ground to the pump as a temporary fix and simply plug up the suction side skimmer. The return side skimmer would still catch all the debris.

Sure. Remember your skimmer basket has been eliminated to so any large objects the pipe sucks in will go straight to the pump strainer basket.

Thanks for the reply, Dave, perhaps I could put some sort of strainer on it. It would be down 3-4 feet so most of the surface debris would have been already be caught by the return skimmer.
