Yeah, it was very appealing and useful, until my son said Dad I think your plastic thing cracked. A week later and I have shards of splintered plexiglass all over the porch. So back to the drawing board, or maybe just back to Lowe's for a thicker piece... I thought plexiglass was supposed to be strong...

Plexiglas is kinda strong, for what it is. Lexan is shatterproof, err.. shatter-resistant. All of them are subject to UV degradation.
I had a niece that was cut on plexi-glass as bad as if it were glass. Learned a valuable lesson with that. The piece she was cut with was already broken, but we tend to forget that it has it's downside as well. :grrrr:
Did you figure something out yet, op? I really liked the plexi glass idea too bad that didn't work? What around corrugated roofing with the ripples up and down, connected the same way. Or could you mod the latter to have the tub/steps slip out when they are not being used?
