Hi All,

I live in Hong Kong and as fresh engineering graduate from university, I have to size an absorption chiller to cool a swimming pool which gets too hot in the summer. The pool water reaches around 31 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity is around 80% on average in Hong Kong. The main heating source of the pool is the sun at noon time. The pool is 50 × 20 meters and has an average depth of 1.6 meters
Anyone can help me to work out an approximate size of the chiller required?

daham,

This is a forum for residential pool owners and, as such, you will not find much help for engineering formulas for commercial pools.

Another resource would be manufacturers of the type of equipment you are interested in using. They are usually willing to help you with these types of problems.
