Can SWG damage heater?

Hello everyone,

I've been lurking here for a month or so and soaking up all of your great information. I am thinking of installing a SWG for this pool season and just wanted to make sure the salt will not damage the internal components of my Pentair Minimax Plus 150M heater? I am thinking of a CompuPool model for my ~9000 gallon in-ground fiberglass pool.

As long as you keep the salt level at the recommended level, and don't let it get much higher than 4,000 at any time, the heater will be completely safe.
