*pool safe* adhesive remover for a the edge of fiberglass po

Our Hatteras brand Fiberglass pool was finished this past November. It appears that when the cement deck and pool coping was poured, the inside water edge of the pool was fitted with styrofoam panels or molds. They ripped those away when done but it seems the pool has big areas of adhesive still above the water line.

Has anyone else ever seen this and how do I safely remove it? I both worry about damaging the surface of the fiberglass as well as contaminating the water with whatever chemical will remove the offending gunk. Acetone? Rubbing Alcohol? Some sort of oil?

    I like WipeOut ... -7687.html

Goo be gone should work too, for how much you are using it shouldn't really affect the chemistry.
