Crazy "fine" filtration idea or not?

I'm good and clean at the moment........but inevitably, I will end up with fine dust/sediment in the pool. Have already tried the DE addition to the filter trick with very limited results. Had the thought today of adding an Intex paper filter cartridge to my pump strainer resorvoir during those times for probably a 6 hour run time. It would require me to remove the pump strainer basket and it would fit nicely heighth wise with some play on the diameter. This wouldn't be an everyday operational situation. Tell me why I'm nuts!

I doubt it could handle the flow of your pump.

I don't think the Intex filters can catch dust either. If you are serious about filtering out the dust, get a 1 hp 2 speed pump and run it on low 24/7.

The Intex filters are notoriously bad at catching fine sediment when used normally. When used as you describe I suspect they would either be instantly destroyed or perhaps just reduce the flow rate dramatically.
