    Is Calcium Hardness necessary for Vinyl and Fiberglass? What about the deck?

    Calcium reportedly helps to prevent fiberglass from staining from certain metals in the water. For vinyl lined pool, there really is no need for calcium. It is important to know that high calcium can pose a problem for any pool.
